The Role:

Oldham College is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Teaching and Learning Lead to spearhead the efforts of our Teaching and Learning team. This transformative role plays a vital part in shaping the strategic development of teaching, learning, and assessment (TLA) across the institution, driving high standards, innovation, and continuous growth.
As a Senior Lead, you will oversee the Teaching and Learning team, spearhead cross-college initiatives, and elevate professional development efforts. Collaborating closely with faculty leaders and cross-functional teams, you will embed a culture of reflective practices, digital pedagogy, and research-based teaching methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the Teaching and Learning team.
- Drive forward cross-college teaching and learning initiatives.
- Champion the professional development of staff.
- Collaborate with faculty leaders to foster reflective teaching practices, integrate digital pedagogy, and implement research-informed teaching approaches.
Requirements:
We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- A proven record of outstanding teaching and learner outcomes.
- Experience in leading or mentoring teams to elevate TLA practices.
- A strong understanding of the OFSTED framework for Further Education.
- Expertise in designing and delivering CPD aligned with strategic goals.
- Up-to-date knowledge of pedagogical research and experience with digital learning tools.
- Proficiency in analyzing data to inform planning and continuous improvement.
