Timetabling Services play a vital role in managing student schedules and room allocations for all teaching activities. The team ensures optimal space usage and delivers high-quality support to both staff and students.
We are part of the Students & Education Directorate, a collection of professional services dedicated to supporting King’s students and their education. We oversee the student lifecycle—from application to graduation and beyond—ensuring smooth administrative processes, seamless student experiences, and collaboration with King’s faculties.
About the Role:
The Senior Timetabling Officer will contribute significantly to delivering a comprehensive academic timetabling service, aligning with our Education Strategy. They will assist Senior Officers in optimising teaching schedules and meeting the College’s requirements.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in working within a dynamic administrative department, using analytical and negotiation skills to deliver an exceptional timetabling service to staff and students.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) offered on an indefinite contract.
About You:
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant Work Experience/Education: Various professional or educational experiences could prepare you for this role. Relevant work might include student administrative services or similar roles. Educational experiences could include higher education in related fields, professional qualifications, or training.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands while managing customer expectations.
- Experience in delivering effective timetabling operations, ideally in a similarly complex organisation.
- Strong skills in large-scale data collection and information retrieval.
- Excellent negotiating and influencing abilities.
- High attention to detail, even in high-pressure situations with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency with timetabling software (e.g., Syllabus, Enterprise).
Desirable Criteria:
- Understanding of challenges within the Higher Education sector.
- Experience in supervising staff, providing training, and delegating tasks.
- Willingness to work outside standard office hours during peak periods.
