Full time: 35 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Simulation Technician to join our team at the University of the West of Scotland’s School of Health and Life Sciences, located on the Paisley Campus. The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Simulation Technician to manage simulation and clinical skills labs using both high and low fidelity simulators. This role primarily supports Nursing and Health-related programmes.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Must hold at least an SVQ level 3 in Healthcare Practice or equivalent, with practical experience in a Clinical Skills Education environment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in completing tasks, and thrives in a team-based setting, sharing expertise and offering support to colleagues.
- Proficient in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting IT equipment, simulated manikins, AV equipment, and other mechanical or electronic devices.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both staff and students at all levels, and able to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
