Join the Strategic Planning Team at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS)
As a member of our dedicated team, your role will be instrumental in inspiring our students and the broader University community with exceptional teaching methods and impactful research. Your expertise will support our mission to provide innovative solutions addressing global challenges.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
– Guiding the University through the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Student (Data Futures) return process to ensure consistent, timely submission of mid-year and end-year data.
– Leading the preparation and completion of the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) Early Statistics and Final Figures returns for the University.
We require the candidate to effectively engage with and contribute to both internal and external meetings, influencing senior colleagues and integrating varying perspectives to achieve strategic institutional goals.
Qualifications and experience needed:
– A degree or an equivalent level of education
– A track record of managing statistical submissions to regulatory agencies
– Skills in data optimization in compliance with regulatory guidelines
– Proficiency in interpreting sophisticated regulations and guidelines
– An ability to influence strategic decision-making
– Experience with complex database interrogation, such as student records systems
– Project management experience across multifaceted and technical domains
