The Inns of Court Council (COIC) operates as a charitable entity with the mission to advance legal education concerning the administration and practice of law. The organization is dedicated to promoting excellence in legal advocacy and upholding the ethics and professional conduct of barristers. The COIC achieves its educational goal through the initiatives of the Advocacy College of the Inns of Court (ICCA) and maintains professional standards via the Bar Tribunals and Adjudication Service (BTAS).

The Barrister Training Course

The ICCA has devised an innovative and fundamentally different training course for aspiring barristers, focusing on making the qualification process more flexible, accessible, cost-effective, and maintaining rigorous standards for barrister training.
