The Student Administration Services team manages key aspects of the student lifecycle, including Welcome, Enrolment & Registration, Visa Support & Guidance, Student Records, Graduation, Police Registration, and Orientation. We are dedicated to delivering a world-class experience for all students at King’s by aligning our support services with their academic journey and the annual cycle of events.
We are part of the broader Students & Education Directorate, a team of diverse professional services designed to enhance King’s students’ educational experience. By managing the entire student lifecycle—from application through to graduation and beyond—we aim to deliver seamless administrative processes and ensure a unified and coherent student experience, working closely with King’s faculties to achieve this.
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Records Officer to provide efficient administrative support as part of a professional and student-focused service. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, an excellent communicator, have administrative experience, and demonstrate strong IT skills.
This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in supporting the workflows and systems that underpin the student administrative lifecycle. It is particularly suited to candidates who wish to contribute their skills and expertise in student administration. We welcome applications from individuals with experience both within and outside of the Higher Education sector, provided they can demonstrate the key skills necessary to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain full, accurate, and accessible records within the University’s student record system (SITS), working collaboratively with students, faculties, and relevant departments to resolve data issues through record interrogation and fact-finding.
- Serve as the first point of contact for student record-related enquiries, drawing on expert knowledge of the student lifecycle within the student record (SITS) to offer advice and guidance to both staff and students.
- Support and facilitate key student administrative processes throughout the academic year, including Changes of Registration, Enrolment, Re-enrolment, and Module Registration, ensuring services are delivered to the highest standard for staff and students.
- Adhere to relevant procedures and policies concerning student records, ensuring accuracy and consistency while adhering to GDPR regulations regarding the confidentiality of personal information.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of SITS and other necessary systems required for the role.
