About the Role
The Systems Analyst (Data Migration & Archiving) will bring specialist expertise to support the implementation of the University’s new Student Records System. As part of the programme team, this role will focus on analysing, specifying, and ensuring the successful migration of data from the current system to Ellucian Banner, in addition to designing and documenting a comprehensive approach for archiving and retaining data that will not be transitioned to the new platform.

Collaborating with capability leads, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers, you will work to understand existing data structures and processes, define future-state requirements, and translate these into clear, actionable specifications. The role requires an experienced professional skilled in independently managing complex tasks, applying established systems analysis methodologies, and ensuring all data migration and archiving activities comply with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies.

This is a senior, specialist role for the duration of the project and is ideal for a highly experienced individual with a strong background in data migration and/or system decommissioning within large, data-intensive environments.

While external applications are welcome, internal candidates will be prioritised.
As part of Edge Hill University’s commitment to redeployment, please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any stage in the recruitment process if a suitable redeployment candidate is identified.

For informal enquiries about this role, please contact Hannah McAuliffe, Programme Manager, at [email protected].
