About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and technically astute Systems and Online Services Analyst to lead the management and enhancement of our student data systems and online service portals. In this vital position, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of our Higher Education (HE) provision by driving improvements in self-service functionalities and enhancing overall student engagement.
As the Systems and Online Services Analyst, you’ll take full ownership of system operations, from managing user access and role groups to developing tasks, views, and integrations. Your expertise will also extend to system configurations, addressing technical issues, and ensuring seamless and efficient functionality.
In collaboration with the Group Head of HE MIS and the ITSS services team, you’ll support the ongoing evolution and upkeep of the student records system. This includes handling server environments, coordinating annual upgrades, implementing service releases and hotfixes, and reviewing new enhancements alongside supplier documentation to optimize system performance.
What You Will Do:
- Spearhead the design and continuous development of the student record system, enhancing both student self-service portals and staff backend operations.
- Serve as the key expert within the HE MIS team, driving the creation, implementation, and maintenance of staff and student self-service portals.
- Streamline processes, user access, and role management to support accurate data collection for Leeds Conservatoire and University Centre Leeds, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage system-related queries, technical challenges, configuration updates, and enhancement requests, liaising with software suppliers as necessary.
- Develop and maintain accurate, comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and applications.
About You:
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases, Microsoft SQL Server, and student data management systems.
- Proven track record in the development, configuration, and administration of complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with Tribal’s SITS Vision student record system, including proficiency in e:Vision, Tasks, Vistas, and SITS Client setup and maintenance.
- Analytical and methodical problem solver, capable of delivering effective and practical business solutions.
