Position Overview:
The Timetabler plays a key role in crafting and maintaining the academic schedule at our campus, ensuring the efficient use of rooms, alignment of teaching plans, and an optimal experience for students. This important role supports our academic infrastructure and demands a proactive individual with an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collaborative Planning: Actively engage with both campus-based and central academic teams to tailor the timetable according to their needs and priorities.
– Facility Oversight: Regularly update facility data to ensure effective room allocation and usage.
– Resource Allocation: Manage all elements of resource planning, including the scheduling of venues, rooms, and staff, and address any scheduling conflicts that arise.
– Personalized Schedules: Guarantee that each student receives a personalized timetable without delay.
– Record Keeping: Keep precise records of timetabling data on our central system, CELCAT.
– Issue Resolution: Tackle and remedy any scheduling problems, including rescheduling classes and arranging for lecturer cover.
– Space Coordination: Work alongside the Building and Technical Team to facilitate student bookings of resources and spaces.
– Examination Organization: Arrange the scheduling of exams and other assessments.

Candidate Profile:

– You should have significant experience in a Senior Administration or Timetabling position that involves complex resource scheduling.
– High attention to detail is essential for maintaining accuracy in the timetabling process.
– The ability to operate independently and make well-informed decisions is a must.
– You need to be comfortable in a high-energy setting where meeting strict deadlines is the norm.
– You should have a methodical and logical mindset for planning and troubleshooting.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary to interact effectively with different department teams.
– Proficiency with timetabling software and other IT tools is a requirement.
