The Trusted Research Environment (TRE) Service Technical Lead is a pivotal role within our MVLS Trusted Research Environment Service team. The successful candidate will provide strategic and technical leadership in the design, delivery, and support of IT infrastructure for the TRE service.

The postholder will have overall responsibility for the daily operations, security, and reliability of the TRE services. This includes ensuring services are robust, efficient, and secure while meeting the Service’s goals and objectives. Key responsibilities involve managing service availability, continuity, capacity planning, and compliance with agreed-upon service levels and operational processes such as incident management, problem resolution, and change management.

As the technical authority for the TRE Service, the role includes leading the design, development, and enhancement of TRE capabilities, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives. Further, the postholder will contribute to the strategic direction of the Service by preparing technical documents and acting as a subject matter expert at a principal level.
