Richmond American University London is actively searching for a User Services Librarian to become a vital part of the Library Management team. The appointed librarian will lead the charge for customer-facing and community engagement services, ensuring the implementation of a high-standard library experience. This role supports the University’s dedication to fostering an environment of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Situated within the Chiswick Park Campus, the User Services Librarian will oversee the team that interacts directly with our community, including Information and Student Library Assistants. Additionally, they will supervise the campus’s library and study areas. Key responsibilities include advocating for our library services and offerings, and conducting information literacy sessions, crucial elements of our applied liberal arts curriculum.
Ideal applicants should bring a history of relevant professional experience, with a preference for backgrounds in higher education, and must possess a library qualification recognized by CILIP.
We are pleased to offer this role on a part-time basis, perfect for candidates seeking a lighter schedule, particularly over the summer, or those desiring regular reduced hours. While the position is primarily campus-based, some working flexibility is afforded, including work schedule patterns during the academic year and limited remote work opportunities during instructional periods.
