The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Workforce Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in enhancing strategic workforce planning. This temporary position focuses on leveraging data analytics to provide tailored, insightful reports and dynamic dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. By extracting, validating, and analysing workforce data, the successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of key data used in statutory reporting, empowering informed decision-making within UWS’s HR and Payroll functions.
We are looking for an individual who has a strong eye for detail, technical aptitude (particularly with the iTrent payroll system), and a proven ability to maintain the highest standards of data quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced quantitative analysis skills and be proactive in identifying trends and operational opportunities. You will also thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a culture of shared knowledge, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification/experience) in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computing, or Economics.
- Experience in working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau).
- Track record of consistent professional growth through progressively challenging roles.
- Exceptional quantitative analytical skills, paired with a meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy and quality.
