Yesterday I submitted my biometrics at a VFS center for my Global Talent visa application, along with my spouse and two children (as dependants). We also received emails from VFS yesterday informing the forward of the four applications to the UKVI on the same day, 6 hours after the biometrics.
However, we have not received any emails from UKVI for any of the four applications confirming the receipt of the applications. I have read many people have received such an email the day after the visa center had forwarded their applications to the UKVI, with the email stating that the application is awaiting process at the decision making center. Considering that the UKVI workload should be lighter now with respect to; for instance mid-summer, and also considering that I am personally aware of GTV applicants who recently received their visa letters within 2-5 days of biometrics appointment with no priority payment (i.e. they applied standard), I was assuming that our four visa applications could start being reviewed a day after being forwarded to the UKVI (i.e. today). But not receiving the receipt email from UKVI is making me nervous. Do all applicants receive the aforementioned email from the UKVI? Could an officer have actually started reviewing our cases today without us being sent any emails?
