Position: Admissions Officer
Hours: 37.5 per week
Lucy Cavendish College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Admissions Officer to lead the planning and administration of all undergraduate admissions processes, including the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine and the Foundation Year.
As a College committed to broadening access, we proudly admit a majority of our undergraduate students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds. With the highest proportions of students from maintained sectors and target demographics at Cambridge, we are looking for a dedicated individual to help sustain and build upon this success.
The successful candidate will possess significant administrative experience, ideally in admissions or recruitment, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of organisation and attention to detail. Familiarity with Cambridge systems and processes is beneficial, but a capability to quickly learn and navigate complex procedures is equally valued. Strong IT skills and confidence in data analysis are critical. Most importantly, the postholder will share our passion for widening participation and shaping a more inclusive Cambridge student community.
Key Requirements:
- Proven administrative expertise, preferably in admissions or recruitment activities.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Strong IT and data management skills.
- A proactive and driven attitude aligned with the College’s mission of broadening participation.
Additional Information:
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this position.
