The Bursar’s Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional administrative support to the Bursar while offering specialized expertise to ensure the College meets governance, legal, and regulatory requirements. Positioned at the center of the College’s dynamic operations, this role serves as a critical liaison between the Bursar and Fellows, staff, students, alumni, and external stakeholders. Leveraging initiative and sound judgment, the Executive Assistant anticipates needs and prioritizes objectives, fostering effective communication and building strong relationships across all levels of the College. The role requires the highest standards of confidentiality, tact, and professionalism, as well as a positive, adaptable approach to challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively supporting the Bursar by anticipating priorities, resolving issues, and following up on actions to ensure objectives are met.
- Acting as a professional, welcoming first point of contact for visitors and inquiries, cultivating strong relationships with colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.
- Offering comprehensive secretariat support to the Finance, Investments, IT & Management committees, as well as Safeguarding and Data Protection advisory groups.
- Drafting concise, accurate minutes and circulating them for review and feedback.
- Assisting in the development of refined Terms of Reference and a Delegation Framework to clarify decision-making roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborating with the Head of IT & Business Systems, Librarian, and other departmental heads to develop and improve data management policies and processes.
- Implementing frameworks that enable Heads of Department to maintain compliance with Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), Retention Schedules, and Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Terms of Appointment:
- Permanent position subject to a three-month probation period.
- Salary range: Full-time equivalent of £40,000–£44,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
- Flexible working arrangements are available: full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 80% FTE, 30 hours per week).
