Salary: £36,513 to £41,565 per annum (inclusive), with the potential to progress to £44,468 per annum (inclusive of London allowance).
Contract Type: Fixed-term for 7 months.
This role offers an exciting development opportunity for a paraprofessional archivist seeking hands-on experience in cataloguing. Designed as an in-training position, the successful candidate will work under the guidance of a professional archivist and focus on the appraisal, arrangement, and description of the Records of Sheba Feminist Press. This work is part of the Charting the journey: cataloguing the Sheba Feminist Publishers archive project, which is generously supported by the Archives Revealed grant programme — funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, the Wolfson Foundation, and The National Archives.
Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates should bring:
- Prior experience working in an archive or similar environment, preferably within higher education.
- Proven experience in cataloguing archival collections.
- A strong record of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of national and international archival standards, including ISAD(G) and NCA Rules.
