The Role
We are seeking Collections and User Services Assistants (CUSAs) to play a vital role in managing and maintaining our unique collections. This hands-on position involves retrieving and re-shelving materials, moving collections, scanning requested items for users as part of the Scan and Deliver service, and preparing materials for transfer to the Library Storage Facility in Ely.

We have five available positions:

  • Three permanent roles
  • Two fixed-term positions until 29 March 2027

All positions are full-time; however, we strongly encourage candidates seeking part-time hours or flexible working arrangements to apply.

Key Responsibilities
As a Collections and User Services Assistant, you will:

  • Retrieve and return library materials requested by readers and staff.
  • Organize and move collections within both open-access and closed stacks of the University Library.
  • Scan materials for users utilizing the Scan and Deliver service.
  • Prepare and process items for transfer to the Library Storage Facility at Ely.
  • Occasionally work off-site at Faculty and Departmental Libraries, assisting with collection management.
