The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) proudly traces its roots back to 1828, when it became the first university in Wales to receive a Royal Charter. The institution is honoured to have His Majesty King Charles III as its Royal Patron.

Today, UWTSD educates over 16,000 students across six campuses in the UK, including four in Wales and two in England. The University also has long-standing international partnerships spanning Europe, China, Malaysia, the USA, and other regions. Our mission is to transform education and, in doing so, improve the lives of individuals and communities we serve. We are recognized for delivering a top-quality student experience:

  • Ranked 1st in Wales and 2nd in the UK for Student Satisfaction (Times Higher Education, July 2025).

This success stems from the dedication, talent, and collaborative spirit of our people. Building on this strong foundation, UWTSD is committed to becoming a leading provider of accessible higher education.

About the Role

With a newly appointed Chief Financial Officer leading the way, UWTSD’s Finance team is undergoing a dynamic transformation. This shift emphasizes a more commercially driven, data-led, and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on automation, process improvement, and delivering better service to stakeholders.

As the Commercial Credit Controller, you will play a key role in this transformation, driving the creation of a proactive and highly commercial credit control function. This unique opportunity goes beyond traditional debt collections, enabling you to shape how the University manages income, cashflow, and key customer relationships.

In this role, you will take a strategic approach to overseeing end-to-end credit management. Working with high-value, complex accounts, you will aim to drive timely collections while improving cash conversion. Through process efficiency, system optimisation, and effective stakeholder engagement, you will ensure sustainable improvements in cashflow, performance, and financial resilience—all within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
