About the Role

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and Barts Health NHS Trust, with support from Barts Charity, are implementing a comprehensive electronic transfusion service across four hospitals. This pivotal project focuses on enabling seamless data linkage between electronic databases within Barts Health hospitals to enhance transfusion care for patients requiring blood as part of their standard treatment. The primary responsibility of this role is the development, design, and validation of a Transfusion Platform to facilitate these integrations effectively.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A first degree in Data Science.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or equivalents (essential).
  • Practical experience in data linkage and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong abilities in research, statistical analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
