We are looking to appoint an exceptional Director of Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) to spearhead the University’s digital strategy during a pivotal moment in its evolution.
This high-profile position offers the unique opportunity to shape strategic direction, drive transformational change, and make a lasting impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide visionary leadership across digital, data, and technology, designing the evolution of systems, platforms, and data capabilities to achieve key institutional objectives. You will craft and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy and roadmap, aligning ambition with clear priorities, sound investment decisions, and executable programmes. At the same time, you will cultivate a high-performing DDaT function, fostering a service-led, user-centric culture across the University.
Collaborating closely with the Executive Team, you will serve as the University’s principal advisor on digital and data strategy, offering guidance on innovation, investment, and risk management. Your leadership will drive the adoption of modern platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud services, while enhancing data capabilities, governance, and accessibility to support performance and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading digital, data, and technology functions within a complex organisation, potentially within higher education, the public sector, or a similarly sophisticated environment. You will demonstrate significant expertise in delivering large-scale digital transformation, coupled with a deep understanding of enterprise systems, data architectures, and modern digital service delivery. As a senior leader, you will operate confidently at a strategic level, with the authority to influence stakeholders across the institution and the skill to build and nurture high-performing teams. Your leadership style will combine operational excellence with innovation, a service-oriented mindset, and a focus on continuous improvement.
This role presents a unique chance to shape the University’s digital trajectory and future-proof its digital and data capabilities, ensuring alignment with its aspirations and long-term success.
