Full-Time Role (35 Hours Per Week)

Our IT Services department plays a collaborative and crucial role in providing digital technology services to both staff and students. We are currently seeking an Enterprise Application Specialist to join our Enterprise Applications Team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Applications, you will be responsible for supporting the operation, enhancement, and development of Abertay’s core enterprise systems. This position requires close collaboration with colleagues across the University to ensure these essential services are reliable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.

These systems are integral to key university functions, including:

  • Student Information
  • Finance
  • Learning and Teaching
  • Research

Key Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Application Specialist, your main duties will include:

  • Supporting and maintaining enterprise applications such as Tribal SITS
  • Investigating and resolving complex system issues
  • Developing and improving applications
  • Liaising with external suppliers when necessary
  • Contributing to system upgrades, enhancements, and digital transformation projects
  • Creating clear documentation and promoting knowledge-sharing

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications within a complex organisation
  • Hands-on experience with Tribal SITS
  • Proven contribution to system improvements or digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Organised approach to work with effective prioritisation skills
