DCG is currently seeking a part-time Information Resource Technologist to be part of our Libraries team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional service to library users, including students and staff. Based primarily at the Roundhouse and Broomfield campuses, you may occasionally be required to work at other sites (Joseph Wright Centre and Ilkeston), particularly during training or as needed. The Opportunity
In this dynamic and fulfilling position, you will work as part of a dedicated team of Information Resource Technologists to provide valuable support to students and staff. Your responsibilities will include assisting students in accessing appropriate learning materials, staffing the library’s enquiry desk, delivering basic IT support, and hosting workshops and training sessions focused on library services. Additionally, you will collaborate with curriculum staff to ensure library resources align with teaching and learning needs across the College.

About You
We are looking for individuals with strong customer service skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. You should possess excellent organisation and communication skills, along with a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
Although a Level 2 qualification in Administration or Customer Service is desirable, we can support applicants without this credential in obtaining it. Holding Level 2 qualifications in both Maths and English is essential for this role.
