Job Advertisement: IT Communications & Digital Content Specialist
Position Details:
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (12 months maternity cover)
- Salary: £41,374 per annum (including London Allowance)
The starting salary is as stated, but candidates with exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role may be considered for appointment at a higher salary point.
About the Role:
Are you passionate about IT, communications, and supporting impactful change across an organization? We are seeking an IT Communications & Digital Content Specialist to join our IT Services team and take ownership of communicating all aspects of IT change.
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Develop, manage, and execute IT communications strategies and plans.
- Collaborate closely with IT senior stakeholders and support the Head of Pipeline and PMO Governance to ensure technical IT project changes are translated effectively for various audiences, including stakeholders.
- Work in partnership with the University’s central communications team when appropriate.
- Draft and update IT programme change communications on behalf of the Head of Pipeline and PMO Governance and PMO for senior University stakeholders and committees.
- Take a key role in major IT incident communications, serving as part of the matrix team during Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents, while being accountable for all priority incident communication to stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain IT departmental content on the Student and Staff Intranets, University Apps, and social media platforms.

Location and Work Arrangements:
The role is based at our beautiful, leafy campus in Egham, Surrey, located near Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance of London. This position offers hybrid working arrangements.
