THE ROLE
We are seeking a Principal Systems Development Officer to join our team at the Swansea/Carmarthen campus. This role encourages applications from individuals looking for full-time, job-share, or part-time opportunities. Working closely with the university’s Information System Development team and other departments, you will be responsible for the analysis and specification of new software or modifications to existing software, with particular focus on the Tribal SITS student record system.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A good general level of education.
  • Experience in Business Analysis within a medium to large complex environment.
  • Evidence of stakeholder engagement to capture requirements.
  • Experience in crafting requirement and design specifications for development teams and addressing queries throughout the development stage.
  • Proven track record of seeing software development through to testing and sign-off.
  • Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycles.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and databases sufficient to interrogate databases.
  • Experience in providing high-quality software systems support.
