The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh seeks a Project Archivist (Salvesen) to catalogue and promote the archives of Christian Salvesen Ltd. as part of the Archives Revealed-funded project, “The Last Catch: Surfacing Stories from the Salvesen Whaling Archive.”
The successful candidate will:
- Catalogue the archives, incorporating perspectives from project partners, such as the South Georgia Heritage Trust, Living Memory Association (Leith), and academic stakeholders.
- Review current data protection and access restrictions.
- Facilitate engagement activities, ensuring the archive remains accessible and relevant for future users.
