Additional Payments
A market supplement of £4,000 per annum (pro-rata, non-pensionable, and subject to tax and national insurance contributions) may apply to this position.
The continuation of this payment, along with its amount, will be reviewed annually in accordance with the University’s Market Supplement Policy.
About the Role
The University Finance Office is seeking a SAP Senior Developer to join its dedicated and dynamic SAP Team. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing a SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS2 On-Premise system. Your expertise in ABAP (both Classical and RESTful Programming Model), CDS Views, Fiori Elements, Gateway, UI5, and Workflow (among other skills) will be critical.
Our supportive team consists of 2 Basis Administrators, 2 SAP Senior Developers (including the advertised vacancy), 2 SAP Helpdesk staff, 5 SAP Analysts, 2 SAP Service Leads (Technical and Functional), and a Head of Department.
Your efforts will contribute to expanding the use of SAP Fiori, UI5, and Embedded Analytics across the university. This position will provide variety and opportunities for innovation, where your creativity and expertise as a seasoned SAP Developer will play a pivotal role.
On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with SAP Business and Functional Analysts, fellow Developers, Helpdesk staff, and end-users. Additionally, you will work closely with the SAP Architect and Technical Lead when evaluating bespoke development requests. Liaising with key users of ancillary university systems forms an integral part of this role.
The team follows Agile Project Delivery methodology, and as a Senior Developer, you will contribute to Agile processes by adhering to team-defined procedures, participating in planning meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and facilitating impactful project delivery outcomes.
