Regent’s University London is seeking an interim Subject Librarian to join our academic library services team. This vital role will focus on delivering professional frontline library services, assisting with student and staff enquiries, and maintaining a welcoming and safe study environment that ensures exceptional support for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure library collections remain relevant and accessible through effective resource selection, acquisition, and management (including reading lists and digital materials).
- Deliver engaging library inductions, research skills workshops, and one-to-one sessions to foster students’ academic confidence and information literacy.
- Collaborate with academic teams and provide tailored support to meet the unique needs of our students.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience with library management systems and resource planning.
- A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, underpinned by a genuine interest in enriching the student journey.
This fixed-term contract is designed to cover paternity leave and a secondment, lasting approximately 8 months (from June 2026 to January 2027).
