About the Role

This position serves as a leader for the Dynamics 365 and Power Apps team within IT Services, overseeing the operational delivery, development, and continuous enhancement of the University’s CRM and low-code platforms. The role involves managing a team of specialist engineers, building strong connections across IT Services and the University to ensure Dynamics 365 and Power Platform services are secure, reliable, governed effectively, and in alignment with institutional priorities.

As part of this role, you’ll shape the service roadmap, coordinate vendor and supplier engagements, and ensure the delivery of services that support the University’s strategic objectives.


What You’ll Do

You will provide both technical and leadership expertise to ensure the high-quality delivery of Dynamics 365 and Power Apps services, while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of Dynamics 365 and Power Apps engineers, including staff development and performance management.
  • Taking ownership of the operational management for CRM and Power Platform services, leveraging ITIL best practices.
  • Monitoring service performance, managing incidents effectively, driving changes, and prioritizing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensuring platforms meet security, architecture, and governance standards.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the University to understand requirements and translate them into sustainable service solutions and roadmaps.
  • Managing supplier and vendor relationships to ensure efficient service delivery and maximize value for money.
  • Leading or supporting smaller-scale projects and enhancement initiatives, including planning, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Maintaining accurate service documentation, processes, and standards.
  • Advocating modern digital practices while ensuring services evolve alongside Microsoft technologies.

About You

If you have a strong technical background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps, coupled with a desire to elevate enterprise CRM and low-code services within a large and complex institution, this role is designed for you.

You could be an excellent candidate for the role if:

  • You possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly in implementation, configuration, and change management.
  • You have experience in Power Apps and Power Platform governance.
  • You have a solid grasp of CRM security models.
  • You are familiar with IT service delivery, particularly those aligned to ITIL practices.
  • You have worked collaboratively within technical teams and ideally have leadership or supervisory experience (desirable, but not required).
  • You are confident in engaging with various stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
  • You have experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.

Additional Information

Work Pattern:
This role operates Monday to Friday, full-time (1 FTE). The post-holder may occasionally need to perform on-call/standby duties as part of the role.
