Position Summary
- Hours: 35 per week (full-time role)
- Annual Leave: 37 days, inclusive of bank holidays
- Working Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office)
About the Role
Kent Students’ Union is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead the delivery and management of IT and technical services across the organisation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, student-focused environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of systems and services, including core IT infrastructure, digital platforms, live events, venues, and commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of IT and Technical Services.
- Manage IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and security.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and technical service providers.
- Supervise technical delivery for events, venues, and AV systems.
- Lead technical projects and implement system improvements.
- Line manage team members and ensure coordinated team delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in IT or technical service delivery.
- Background in managing teams, suppliers, or projects.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and support.
- Ability to work confidently with a wide range of technologies (e.g., IT, AV, EPOS, and events).
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
