The Timetabling Services team plays a critical role in delivering student timetables, allocating teaching spaces, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring top-tier service delivery for staff and students. As part of the Students & Education Directorate, we oversee the entire student lifecycle—from application to graduation and beyond—ensuring a seamless experience and efficient administrative processes, in collaboration with King’s faculties.

About the Role
The Timetabling Manager (Data Quality) will lead efforts in data governance with a focus on delivering reliable and actionable reporting to support both operational and strategic decision-making. Working alongside the Timetabling Manager (Planning) and Timetabling Manager (Operations), this role will oversee the accuracy, integrity, and effective management of timetabling and curriculum data at the institution.

This position involves close collaboration with academic and professional departments to provide high-quality timetables and oversee a small team of Senior Timetable Officers.

The role is full-time (35 hours per week) with an indefinite contract.

About You
To succeed in this role, we’re seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive experience in timetabling, scheduling, or a related operational planning position.
  • Proven experience in staff management or supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality principles and managing data within complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience producing reports and management information.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Prior experience in higher education, further education, or a similarly complex environment.
  • Familiarity with space management or resource planning.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives or systems implementation projects.
